Rev. John Stout is an appointed Urban Missionary with the Assemblies of God US Missions.
John is a talented and trained Chef, anointed communicator, and advocate for the homeless. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership and a Bachelors of Arts in Church Ministries from Southwestern Assemblies of God University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Culinary Nutrition from Johnson and Wales University. John is a Certified Executive Chef and a Master Certified Foodservice Executive.
John is a Licensed Minister with the Assemblies of God and serves as the President and Founder of Runners Refuge Ministries. Runners Refuge is a compassionate ministry dedicated to reaching people in crisis with the love of Jesus Christ through biblical hospitality, prayer, and situational intervention. We do this by serving the homeless community, reaching families living in impoverished areas, and serving communities in crisis through long-term disaster recovery programs.
Runners Refuge operates Solomon’s Porch Community Church (South Dallas), Love Under the Bridge Church (Downtown Dallas), Refuge in the Park Church (Ft Worth), Urban Outreach New Orleans, Mountainview Refuge (Alamogordo, NM), Nehemiah’s House Homeless Recovery Center (Dallas), Feed By Grace Homeless Ministry (Ft. Worth), and Unity Park (Ft Worth)
Rev. Stout also currently serves as the chairperson of the Local Homeless Coalition in Ellis County. John lives in Waxahachie, Texas with his wife, Rachel, and their Olde English Bulldogge, Dozer. They have two grown sons, Cameron, 23 and Michael, 21.
