Governor Abbott’s executive order GA-18 asks churches to continue to do as much remotely as possible. We have received a similar request from the North Texas District of the Assemblies of God.

In accordance with our desire to be good citizens of Texas and as good members of the Assemblies of God, we will not open for church services until such time as it seems prudent and safe. We wish to respect our elders and those who may have underlying health conditions. We will be offering remote FaceBook Live broadcasts of our main service and our Wednesday night Bible Study. We will be conducting some meetings and prayer groups by using Zoom.us video-conference rooms. Our Cosecha de Tiempo Spanish-Language services will be brought to you on Youtube.

We will be watching and praying for the best. Please write one another and call with encouragement and to pray for one another.

Many churches in Waco have announced that they will wait for June 7th to fully reopen. We are all praying that Phase 1 of Texas’s reopening goes well and that there is no spike in cases of Covid-19. We are hoping to return to meeting in person, and will do so as soon as it is safe for all of us. Please respect the concerns of others and honor their wishes for health and safety. No one who is concerned should feel pressure or compulsion to attend a church service. Our most precious resource is our Church Family, who love us, disciple us, uphold us, and let us minister to them. Please pray for all members and for our community to be safe and held in God’s Hands during this crisis and always. Turn to God for comfort, for peace, for wisdom, for love and to be transformed more into the likeness of Christ Jesus. Read His promises in His Word and pray for this situation.

I look forward to announcing a Family Potluck on some future date and taking communion in person with you all.

Our love and prayers are with each other.

Please call John Palmer at 254-772-6206 or email with any questions.

Love, Pastor John Palmer
