Missionaries serving Dominican Republic and Southwestern Assemblies of God University

Please help us welcome the de Freitas family for our February Missions Sunday!

Since 1993, the de Freitas family [Nelson, Rennae, Troy, Alexander, Nicolas, and Marcus] has served in the Dominican Republic. Their ministry has included work with the National Sunday School department, church construction, compassion ministries, Bible School, missions, as well as teaching and preaching. However, their main passion and focus has been reaching youth and children through the ministry of Kings Castle. Kings Castle is forming disciples with a missionary vision to reach children and youth to the Lord. In addition, Rennae ministers to at-risk women & children through children’s home and outreach to women vulnerable to human trafficking.

In 2013 Nelson and Rennae were asked to serve an extended MIssionary-in-Residence term as the World Missions Directors at Southwestern Assemblies of God University

Areas of Ministry:

  • Youth & Children’s Evangelism and Discipleship
  • Development of the Assemblies of God National Missions Department in Dominican Republic.
  • Bible School Training with a focus on missions (Quisqueya Master’s Commission)
  • Rennae has an outreach to young girls that are involved in prostitution and are victims of human trafficking.
  • Partnering with a home for children of prostitutes.
