Mission to Prison
Alice M coordinates a number of people from our congregation who are approved to go into the prisons in our area to do ministry. We also have a team of people who correspond through letters with inmates. Please let us know if you would like to join us.
Hope House is a ministry of Waco First Assembly of God. Our primary goal is to provide a safe and affordable housing solution to women transitioning out of prison/jail or from other rehabilitation programs. Hope House is not a rehabilitation program. Hope House is a drug and alcohol free campus (including cigarettes). Our second goal is to provide Christian community and support, teaching, training, mentoring, and healing for the women we are serving. We hope to ease the transition back to independent living within 3-6 months, but there are currently no time limits on length of stay.
Contact us if you want to be on the Hope House team, our coordinator is Hope G.
We would like to provide a Welcome Kit to each woman that comes to Hope House. We are also starting to collect household items to help the ladies as they transition into independent living. If you have anything to donate, please let us know.
We believe that God has a heart for the orphan. From single moms, absent parents, to actually having a death of a parent all children at all ages need a forever home. We walk together with our foster and adoptive parents and support and love the kids that enter our property. If you want to know more about loving on these kids, please let us know and we will see where you can fit in.
