Kenny and Lacey met in Dublin, TX in 2009 and later married in 2011. Lacey joined Kenny in youth ministry at The Church for the Lost and Found in Dublin, where they also participated in music and drama ministry. Kenny is currently the manager of Old Doc’s Soda Shop and holds a seat on the Economic Development Corporation board of Dublin. Lacey is a private voice and piano instructor and also works as a freelance writer and social media manager. In 2015, they brought the most precious baby girl into the world, Layla.
As of October 2016, they became Assemblies of God missionary associates to Guatemala. They will be working with ChildHope (formerly Latin America Child Care) to provide education, food, clean water, and the knowledge of HOPE in Jesus Christ to children and families across the country. In addition, they will help usher in a new program, Project1, that will disciple recent high school graduates in a year-long missions internship in Guatemala.
They hope to have their funds raised by December of 2017 and be in Costa Rica for language school by January of 2018.
